Udon is effortlessly charming—a seemingly simple chair. In reality, a huge amount of skill underlies this contemporary classic’s form. Designer Staffan Holm took inspiration from archetypal bentwood chairs and borrowed traditional Japanese carpentry traditions, and used just a few simple joints to maintain a clean line and open structure. Colored wood stains accentuate a lively wood grain, and a generous seat promises a comfortable sit. The Udon Upholstered Chair features the highest-quality Scandinavian leather, adding yet another layer of comfort and elegance.

The Swedish designer worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker before entering the renowned School of Design and Crafts (HDK) in Gothenburg, where he later founded his studio.
